About us
Restored to God, to themselves, and to their families.
Reconciliation Ministries is a fifteen-month residential recovery and discipleship program for men in the Beatty Downs neighborhood of Columbia, South Carolina.
Since 2017, we've opened our homes and our lives to men who are ready to stop running. Here, they find freedom from addiction, and they find out who God made them to be.
We are not a clinical treatment center. We are a household of men committed to discipleship, accountability and honest work, living in a real neighborhood alongside neighbors we love.
Men move through three phases (Rooted, Restoration and Remain), growing from the first fragile weeks of sobriety into fathers, husbands, workers and leaders who stay free long after graduation.
How the program worksOur mission
Forging addicts into godly men through our 15-month peer-led discipleship program, stability after graduation, and a flourishing neighborhood where we make Jesus famous every day.
What we believe
Four convictions that shape everything.
Addiction is a heart problem
Sobriety matters, but it isn't the finish line. We believe lasting freedom comes when a man's heart is changed by the Gospel.
Slow is the point
We take a deliberately long road. Fifteen months gives men time to heal, grow, rebuild trust, and form habits that last.
Brothers lead brothers
Our program is peer-led. Men further along the path disciple the men behind them, and leadership becomes part of recovery.
Families are the goal
Addiction breaks families. Reconciliation means restoring men to God, to themselves, and to the people who love them.
Where we are
Rooted in Beatty Downs.
Our campus is woven into the Beatty Downs neighborhood in Columbia. Men share meals, work alongside each other, and serve their neighbors. Recovery happens in the middle of real life, not apart from it.
As men are restored, so is the neighborhood. Our dream is a flourishing community where Jesus is made famous every day.
